Insights from the VEED Project
Standardizing H&E staining to improve histopathological consistency
The VEED Project evaluated a new tab-based H&E stain developed to reduce solution decay and improve reproducibility. Thirteen expert pathologists blindly compared 24 pairs of histological images.
The Result
The novel stain proved equivalent to the standard approach overall (z = 2.7) and demonstrated significantly better visualization of stromal tissue (p = 0.008).
